"Easy Aces" series. Who were the Aces?

Unread post by Darren Nemeth » Thu Jul 24, 2008 8:45 pm

I just saw a one reel Easy Aces episode, "PHARAOH LAND" (1935).

It was the first in short a series of novelty travelogues released by Van Beuren Corp., presented by RKO Radio Pictures.

Anyone know who the husband and wife narriators are?

Also, IMDB says that Warner Brothers distributed and Vitaphone Corp produced a 1934 Easy Aces film.

This EASY ACES short from this series also?

“I'm in favor of plagiarism. If we are to create a new Renaissance, the government should encourage plagiarism. When convinced that someone is a true plagiarist, we should immediately award them the Legion of Honor.” —Jean Renoir

Goodman Ace was a good friend of Groucho Marx. Their correspondence together can be found throughout "The Groucho Letters." Goodman was a comedy writer who worked in radio & tv. He had to be a comedy writer to be pals with Groucho since, as a rule, they were the only kind of people that he would allow to get close to him.
