YOHANA DESTA's Vanity Fair Tribute, Excerpted
"In 2001, she told The Guardian that nostalgia is “terrible” and poses a threat to life.
“The life you had is nothing,” she said. “It is the life you have that is important."

Has anyone here seen Moreau's 1983 Gish documentary? Is it available anywhere?

I asked about it several years ago IMDb boards I think someone said it aired on French tv years ago but apparently it has never been seen in the US.

Very sad ,she was unquestionably one of the great legends of "international cinema". According to yahoo the news broke 22 hours ago which should have been enough time to announce it yesterday on the evening news but evidently neither ABC or NBC did (I switched back and forth and didn't see anything). Hopefully today there be something, then again Sam Shepard's modest career as a movie star was highlighted over his being a major playwright so.....

A one of a kind actress. She can never be replaced. I remember the first time I saw Jules & Jim. like she was that character, effortless in a positive way. I suppose the younger generations have never even heard of her. :(

Just saw her in Bunuel's Diary of a Chambermaid last month. She was magnificent as always. A great star has passed.
