HOLD YOUR MAN (1929)

Unread post by earlytalkiebuffRob » Wed Sep 26, 2018 12:42 pm

One scene in HAS ANYBODY SEEN MY GAL (1952) has the Charles Coburn and Piper Laurie visit a cinema showing HOLD YOUR MAN, with Laura La Plante. Is this a real film? (the title cards seem slightly out of period) I find no mention in Wiki of it, although there is an IMDb entry. And if so, what has happened to it?

Definitely real, there are some Lantern hits. Apparently it was available in sound or as a silent.

I'm not sure what happened to it, although being from that trick transitional period it could easily have slipped through the cracks.
