I'm watching the "Magician" documentary Which people were Orson Welles biggest enemies? Who sidelined him the most?

Himself.

I gotta go with Mike. Welles didn't make it easy on himself.

I am not sure what Orson Welles said to Peter Sellers but It was one of the
reasons Casino Royale (1967) turned out like it did. In the Baccarat card
game scene at the casino, the film editors try to make it seem as if Welles
and Sellers are in the same room. They are not. By that time, Peter Sellers
could not stand the sight of Orson Welles and refused to be on the same
set with him. He eventually walked away from the movie and filmmakers
were left to try to make sense of the takes he left behind. A shame. Had he
stayed, it would've been a better movie.

I can see that, but he wouldn't have been the first genius to have problems in Hollywood.

I'm with Mike on this one. Welles was his own worst enemy.

Ditto.

I was just comparing him to another past celeb, who someone at the CHFB called, "poor, poor Bela Lugosi."

BOTH men proved the truth in the old Greek concept of hamartia!
