Ouch. Maybe I shouldn't mention that I got all of my order (8 items) yesterday?

1900, Cloak and Dagger, Dr. Terror's House of Horrors, Flame of Barbary Coast, Iphigenia, No Man's Woman, Roar, The Undesirable (Michael Curtis silent).

And just to make matters worse, my credit card got dinged with $2,000 in bogus charges after ordering that stray Betty Boop disc from Amazon.com, right after a friend told me the same thing happened to them after making an Amazon.com order.

Has this happened to anyone else? Or maybe it only happens to Canadian customers....or maybe I just getting paranoid.

If any of you fine people are like me and wanted to preorder the blu-ray Wolf Man Legacy Collection, Best Buy has it for $15, which is $14 cheaper than you can get it on Amazon. Click here if you are interested: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/wolf-man-co ... 01&cmp=RMX

I added the Frankenstein collection as well, which qualified me for free shipping.

Already have Wolf Man in HD. Lot of duplication on these sets. Not sure if Werewolf of London and She-Wolf of London are even worth the $15 to upgrade. Will probably pick up the Frankenstein set though...wish it were $15!

It may be an official low but about a decade ago it was among the Warner Bros. boxed sets (most of them tv season sets) that showed up an unbelievably low prices at Big Lots. I bought it there for $3!! There was a bit of a scandal at the time as apparently some company that WB had paid to destroy copies of some titles that were in overstock turned around and sold those dvds to discount stores.

I'm sure WB will not agree, but if that's is true I'm very glad. Not only did a lot of people get a lot of bargains, but those disks included many older titles in deluxe versions that now are offered only as DVD-R's with no bonuses. It would be a sin to destroy the ones they already made.

" Amazon is offering the Universal Monster Blu-ray set for $39 with free two-day shipping .."

The same item is offered through Amazon.uk for 18 GBP. After converting to US currency
and excluding VAT, it ends up to about 24.00 US.

Not that I can afford anything more then than I could have an hour ago...

Camelcamelcamel says that's the best price so far on this recently-released set.

Also only $39.99 on Amazon.ca, which, given the exchange, is a lot cheaper than the Amazon US price.

I was going to hold off getting this, but at 35% off (and in Canadian dollars), I doubt I'll see it cheaper any time soon.

It's very rare that Amazon Canada outdoes Amazon US in terms of pricing, but it does happen sometimes. Not sure if the savings is cancelled out by the shipping to the US, but since I'll get the free shipping in Canada, I'm not complaining.

Just saw that a number of "Studio Vault" titles are on sale at Kino Lorber. The new blu-ray of Fritz Lang's Western Union for $12? I'll take that!

A post about the BFI's Napoleon blu-ray led me to this, for those who have region-switchable blu-ray players (or live in the UK).

Zaavi in the UK has a 3 for 30 pounds deal that includes a number of Eureka Masters of CInema titles, several of which are not available on blu-ray in North America.

Not sure if the savings makes them cheaper than North American copies or not, but I know some have a preference for MoC versions of some titles.

Tks for the heads up. Napoleon and 3 Masters of Cinema blu-rays for 70 bucks is pretty good.

Warner Bros. is re-releasing the Forbidden Hollywood volumes 1 - 3 on MOD. This will be a significant reduction from the exorbitant prices being charged now on the second-hand market.
