I have had no luck at WHAT THE FONT.

Anyone know which font this is? It is from a 1912 book.

Sadly, https://www.myfonts.com/WhatTheFont/" target="_blank isn't able to help although with a better quality picture it might go further. The closest I can get - using just the 'V' - is https://www.myfonts.com/fonts/ingrimayn ... zak/swash/" target="_blank which still isn't it.

A lot of magazine fonts in those days were hand drawn. That's a general statement, not specific to the Moving Picture World logo, but it could be there is no font.

A found a couple that get close using this site: https://www.whatfontis.com/

You upload your image, and it searches font sites for you. I think there's a six or ten letter limit, but the site explains how it works. Good luck!
