Though he starred in several films, THE FAMILY WAY (1966), TWISTED NERVE (1968), THE VIRGIN SOLDIERS (1969), PERCY (1971) and ENDLESS NIGHT (1972), Bennett was perhaps best known for starring in the comedy series 'Shelley', as well as the BBC adaptation of Francis Iles's 'Malice Aforethought' in 1979.

He seemed to be a popular feature player in the late 1960's and then just faded away - not due to his capabilities but more to the state of the industry in the U.K. He was not all that older than me and one is reminded of one's mortality. R.I.P.
